Welcome to the Alaska History Day 2024 State Contest!
Since 1989, Alaskan students have participated in the National History Day competition. This year, we are excited to welcome students and teachers from around the state.
A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated, exceptional teachers who support their students throughout the research process every year, and the judges from around the state who have volunteered their time and talents to give meaningful feedback.
Good luck to this year's students, and congratulations on reaching the state contest! The top two finishers in each category of the state contest will be invited to compete in the national contest held in June. Stay tuned for the announcement of the state contest results on April 12, 2024

This contest is all online (virtual). Judging will take place between April 3-10, 2023 by volunteer judges from across the state and country.
Results will be announced Friday, April 14, 2023.
